Five facts before a conversation.
Standing remote internship practice is operating along the five-module spine published in the 2021 brochure. Current prices, mentor names, and cohort dates are confirmed after email, not inferred from the brochure.
Students produce reviewable artifacts from a laptop: research brief, analysis memo, recommendation, report, and a performance conversation. Coaches review files. They do not become the hidden author.
The 2021 brochure is a historical source for module names and coaching language. It does not automatically prove a current employer roster, a 3,000-organization network as a live fact, or a job offer.

Students
Send a short note: school year, working language, a topic you could research for several weeks, and whether you want consulting, finance, marketing, data, or entrepreneurship practice.
Families
Ask for coaching format, weekly rhythm, artifacts, certificate wording, recommendation policy, and anything that looks like a price or date — in writing.
Schools and partners
Describe cohort size, staff role, calendar constraints, and whether you need a shared presentation at the end. Do not ask for a logo wall this site will not invent.
Prepare the note before you reach out
A useful first message is one page or less. Name the student or institution. Name the goal (career exploration, application evidence, school cohort, mentor contribution). Name constraints (time zone, language, school calendar). Name the pages you already read — curriculum, apply, standards — so the reply can start at the real question instead of repeating the homepage.
If you are a student, include one paragraph about a question you would actually like to research. That paragraph is already a sample of whether GVI is a fit. If you cannot write it, you may need the foundation offering before a full pathway.
What a serious reply should contain
A serious reply confirms the five-module spine, the coaching model for that cohort, the artifacts, and the claims policy. It does not need to flatter. It does need to be specific enough that a parent or counselor can compare GVI with another virtual internship or job simulation.
If a reply leans on unverifiable partner counts, unnamed mentors, or urgency around a date this website does not publish, treat that as a warning sign. The contact page’s job is to make the standard of conversation as clear as the standard of student work.
School and counselor conversations
Schools should say whether they need a credit-bearing project, an enrichment cohort, or a club-style experience. Those are different staff loads. Share how much teacher time exists for checkpoints. GVI can provide structure; it cannot replace a school adult who never looks at the work.
Ask for a sample week, a sample brief, and the performance-review dimensions. Those three documents tell you more than a deck of smiling photos.
Mentor and partner conversations
Mentors should ask how many reviews they owe, what “good” looks like, and how academic integrity is handled when a draft looks generated or copied. Partners should ask what students will produce and how the partnership will be described in public. Over-claiming helps no one at verification time.
What not to send
Do not send extra identity documents, payment details, or sensitive records in a first message. The privacy page explains the principle: collect only what is needed to answer the inquiry. Until a cohort is actually running, a conversation note is enough.
