This track turns a recommendation into a deck a manager could follow: executive answer, supporting evidence, risks, and next steps — then rehearsal.
One idea per slide
If a slide needs a paragraph of speech to exist, it is two slides or none.

Why presentation is a separate offering
Some students can research and still freeze, ramble, or hide the answer on slide 14. Older GVI-related program notes also described business presentations and even contest-style showcases. This track isolates that performance so the five-module pathway has a place to practice speaking.
The structure we teach
Context in one breath. Recommendation. Why. Alternatives rejected. Evidence. Risks. Asks. The insights article on client recommendation decks and the presentation-structure article repeat this because students revert to chronology under stress.
Visual discipline
Numbers need sources. Charts need a title that is a sentence. Green forest branding is for gvi.cc, not a requirement for student slides. Clarity beats theme packs.
How it is reviewed
Mentors score whether a new listener could restate the recommendation, whether questions were answered without hostility or collapse, and whether the deck still works if the speaker is silent. Time limits are part of professionalism.
House rules for a presentation track
Time cap. Sentence titles. Sources on numbers. One recommendation. A hostile question at the end. Scoring visible in advance: restatable answer, evidence, objection handling, time. If you add “stage presence” as a huge weight, you will reward extraversion over analysis. Presence matters; it should not launder a hollow argument.
Older program notes described contest-style showcases. Those can be energizing. They become harmful when the trophy outranks the report. Keep the report in the closing pack even if a contest is used as rehearsal.
A rehearsal day that is still an internship
Morning: freeze the recommendation and cut any slide whose title is not a sentence. Midday: time a standing run-through and note where you explain instead of showing. Afternoon: a hostile-question drill with a teammate playing budget holder, implementer, and skeptic. Evening: one revision pass, then stop. That day produces a better file. A day spent choosing animations does not.
If the track sits inside a school cohort, publish the scoring sheet before anyone designs slides. Students optimize what is scored. If “presence” outweighs evidence, you will get theater. GVI would rather a nervous student with a sourced answer than a fluent student with none.
Keep the internship report in the closing pack even when a contest is used as rehearsal. Trophies do not travel into interviews as well as a paragraph that still makes sense a year later. The certificate-versus-portfolio insight is the longer argument; this offering just refuses to skip the report.
