A job per module
If you cannot say what the module is for, you will collect activities instead of finishing.
curriculum / GVI
GVI’s curriculum follows the 2021 brochure sequence. Students get up to speed, move from data to insight, uncover needs, recommend a move, and align on next steps — comparing drafts with model solutions along the way.
If you cannot say what the module is for, you will collect activities instead of finishing.
Excel, PowerPoint, and communication are not extra units. They are how the files work.
The brochure says to compare with team-created model solutions. That is a teaching method, not a license to copy.
Module map
Each page lists skills from the brochure, a student job, a finish line, and how mentors review it.
Get up to speed. Gather, synthesize, communicate.
02Excel, modelling logic, sensitivity, insight.
03Needs, trade-offs, PowerPoint, judgment.
04Synthesis, client communication, stakeholders.
05Alignment, report, review, realistic follow-through.
Research before analysis so the model is answering a real question. Analysis before consumer needs so trade-offs are not pure opinion. Consumer needs before the recommendation so the client is not a spreadsheet. Recommendation before next steps so alignment has something to align. Students who skip to slides produce theater.
Tracks change the question, not the order. A finance student still needs a market context. A marketing student still needs to survive a number. An entrepreneur still needs a stakeholder who is not themselves.
Module one can be fast if the question is small. Module two is slow if the student has never used a spreadsheet as a thinking tool. Module four is slow if module one was a collage. The later 6–12 week report window in the brochure is mostly modules four and five plus revision. Confirm the calendar for your cohort; do not treat this index as a stopwatch.
Market research / data gathering / synthesis / professional communication live in module one. Excel / financial modelling / sensitivity analysis live in module two. PowerPoint / business judgment / critical thinking live in module three. Synthesis / client communication / stakeholder management live in module four. Stakeholder management and alignment live in module five. Remote-work skills and cross-cultural competence live in all five because the format is virtual.
Each module has a file. Mentors mark question quality, sources, logic, communication, and whether feedback changed the next version. The certificate, if issued, should list the pathway completed, not a fantasy job title.
Short job simulations often excel at a single task with a tight UI. GVI’s curriculum is longer and more writing-heavy: a report and a recommendation you could defend live. Families should pick based on the student’s need, not based on which homepage has more motion graphics.

Each page covers a different part of the remote internship pathway so families can compare structure, work, and evidence.
