Fit before promotion
Decide whether the collaboration is career exploration, skills practice, portfolio building, or a school cohort — then talk about announcing it.
audience / GVI
Schools, counseling teams, organizations, and career providers can shape a GVI pathway when the brief, the support, and the public language are specific.
Decide whether the collaboration is career exploration, skills practice, portfolio building, or a school cohort — then talk about announcing it.
Project outputs are how both sides know students engaged. Attendance lists are not evidence of an internship.
Partners should not inherit a logo wall or a placement statistic this website is not willing to publish.
A school cohort with a shared calendar. A workshop series that feeds the foundation offering. Mentor time for review calls. A practice brief based on a real industry question, used as a simulation with clear labelling. Alumni webinars that teach a method rather than a secret pipeline.
What does not make sense is a partnership whose only output is a press sentence about “global names” with no student file attached.
A real organization can contribute a question students may research from public information. That is valuable. It is still a virtual internship project unless there is a written placement. Students and families must be able to see the difference. The partner checklist article exists for this evaluation.
Named owners on both sides. A data-handling note that matches the privacy page. A description of who can issue certificates. A rule for how the partner is named on student resumes. A stop condition if the collaboration cannot staff the promised reviews.
Partners sometimes want to quote the brochure’s 3,000+ organizations line. If you quote it, quote it as a 2021 brochure statement. Do not present it as a currently audited list of co-signers of your local cohort.
Bring a student population, a calendar constraint, and a definition of success that mentions artifacts. Use the contact page. Read standards first so we do not spend the first call negotiating whether ghostwritten reports are acceptable.
Read curriculum, standards, and this site’s refusal to invent a live employer wall. If you need a logo exchange, we are a poor fit. If you need students to produce markable briefs on a calendar, we can talk. Bring staffing for reviews. Bring a definition of success that mentions files.
Ask how certificates will name the partnership. If the name would mislead a verifier into thinking students were employed, change the name. Referencing policy is part of the partnership, not an optional appendix.

Each page covers a different part of the remote internship pathway so families can compare structure, work, and evidence.
